Gateway is Expanding Operations

In September 2023, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment announced that it has launched its CA$50 million-plus overhaul of Gateway Casinos London in the Western Fair District in Ontario. Via the expansion, the London gaming amenity will boost its gaming floor from 70,000 to 84,000 square feet. With the initiative, the operator wants to make the destination a modern gambling hotspot.

The extension of the property will also feature a heated patio and a performance stage for local artists to perform. According to the company, the larger gaming floor will include 891 slot machines and 18 live gaming tables which will be sprinkled around a new centralized bar. Exterior will also be revamped to feature the “Cascades” brand.

Gateway has also recently bolstered services in Western Canada, as its Starlight Casino New Westminster in B.C. launched a brand-new poker room. The room features four tables with ‘no limit and ‘limit’ stakes at different levels, seven flat-screen TVs and an exclusive menu with a daily breakfast special. For the occasion, the company hosted a special charity poker tournament.
