OLG Offers Quarterly Game Payments To Niagara Falls

This week, the Ontario Lottery and gaming company began sending quarterly game payments to communities hosting casinos. One of the people who received the allocation in the first quarter of 2023-2024 was Niagara Falls. 바카라사이트 The city received about C$6.3 million from the host community of Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara.

OLG’s revenue is shared with the community through municipal contribution agreements. The contract was signed with the municipality decades ago and aims to award the host community as the home of OLG’s casino. All communities may receive different assignments calculated by predetermined formulas that apply to all game facilities.

The city of Niagara Falls recently received payments from OLG worth C$6,386,158 for hosting Fallsview Casino Resorts and Casino Niagara in the first quarter of fiscal 2023-2024. Since the opening of the latter property in 1996, casino revenue has become a huge economic factor that brings in revenue of C$201,290,153, supporting numerous community projects.

Not long ago, Ontario’s finance minister Peter Betlenfalby said that by hosting casinos, communities can support critical community programs and services and expand infrastructure thanks to gambling revenues. According to him, such financial allocations and contributions benefit important programs and services to ensure a better Ontario in the future.

In addition to Niagara Falls, Peterborough also took quarterly game allocations.
