The long-term absence of Manchester City midfield commander and ace Kevin De Bruyne is having an adverse effect on top scorer Elling Holland.
Der Bruyne was forced off in the first half of City’s 2022/2023 English Premier League (EPL) opener against Burnley on Dec. 12 after injuring his hamstring.
His injuries were serious. We thought he’d be out three to four months. It’s a moment that blows the whole first half.
Der Bruyne is a key part of Pep Guardiola’s tactics and an integral part of the attack. His quality passes, crosses, and even the occasional goal were often the difference makers.
Global sports media outlet ESPN highlighted the interests of Holland and The Bruiners on Monday.
Holland scored 52 goals in the 2022/2023 season, including in cup competitions. Of the City players who have assisted him, The Bruener has the most with 11. There’s a big gap between him and second-place Jack Grealish (four).
The absence of De Bruyne, who helped set up Holland’s 먹튀검증 goals last season, is a concern, as he will be under increasing scrutiny and less support in the middle of the park.
He put those concerns to rest with a multi-goal performance in his first league game against Burnley. Holland will have to hold out until The Browner arrives. It will be interesting to see if he can step up through the crisis.
