Casino sales at Paradise, South Korea’s foreign-only casino operator, rose 39.3 percent in October from a year earlier, according to data submitted to the Korea Exchange on Friday.
Compared to about 50.67 billion won in October last year, it earned about 70.54 billion won ($62.5 million).
Last month, table sales edged above 67.58 billion won, up 43.1 percent from a year earlier. However, gaming console sales fell 14 percent to 2.96 billion won in October this year.
The company’s monthly update does not provide a comment on why sales fluctuated year-over-year.
In the first 10 months of 2018, total casino revenue in Paradise rose 19.3% year-on-year to about 531.82 billion won.
Table sales in the year to Oct. 31 rose 19.6% year-on-year to about W496.88 billion. In the first 10 months of this year, machine sales rose 15% to nearly W34.94 billion.

Paradise Co.’s latest casino figures are based on the results of four venues operated by its casino business division: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island (pictured), Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City in Incheon, near the main international airport serving the Korean capital of Seoul.
