
Gyeonggi Province and Konkuk University won the 53rd National Reunification Inter-Segmental Marathon. On March 3, Gyeonggi-do won the city-province competition, in which high school students representing each city and province ran 46.8 kilometers from Jung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, to Imjingak, divided into six sections, with a time of 2 hours, 32 minutes, and 40 seconds. Gyeonggi-do won its second consecutive title in the nine-team event .Seoul came in second with a time of 2 hours, 33 minutes, 56 seconds, and Chungcheongnam-do came in third with a time of 2 hours, 42 minutes, 12 seconds .The best athlete in the city-province competition was Kim Do-yeon (Jeon Gok-go) of Team Gyeonggi-do, who ran 31:29 in the fifth section (10.2 kilometers).”I’m happy that Gyeonggi-do won back-to-back titles,” said Kim, “and I want to work even harder to compete in the Olympic marathon and win a medal. “In the team competition, in which five teams from universities and businesses ran 46.8 kilometers divided into four sections, KU came out on top with a time of 2 hours, 28 minutes, and 23 seconds. KU won its second consecutive title. Second place went to KEPCO in 2:29:54 and third to KU in 2:44:26.KU’s Credit Min Lee, who ran the second leg (15 kilometers) in 46:09, was named Most Valuable Athlete for the second consecutive year. “I will try to break my personal best (29:54.02) in the 10,000 meters at the Asian Games in Hangzhou,” said Lee, who will compete in the men’s 10,000 meters 스포츠토토링크 at the Asian Games.
