Lee Kang-in, 22, made an immediate impact on his return to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), making his presence felt with crisp passing but not without criticism.
PSG defeated Strasbourg 3-0 in the ninth round of the 2023-2024 French Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France on Sunday (Sept. 22).
With the three points, PSG moved into second place with 18 points (W5 D3 L1) and remained in a tight race at the top of the table.
They are now just one point behind leaders OGC Nice (19 points).
Lee Kang-in started as the second striker on the right. Gonzalo Hamus started up front, followed by Kylian Mbappe, Bradley Barcola, and Lee.
It was the first time since joining PSG that Lee has played a full game since joining the club.
Lee started both the opening and second leg of the Ligue 1 tie but was forced off with a thigh injury.
He hasn’t made a Ligue 1 appearance since the end of August against Toulouse.
Even after returning from injury, Lee was sidelined for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games and the A-League schedule.
He played briefly for Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) late last month before traveling to China to join the Asian Games squad.
