LG Electronics provides encouragement to ‘Asian Games silver medal’ rugby team

LG Electronics [066570] announced on Wednesday that it has donated 30 million won in encouragement to the South Korean rugby team for winning the silver medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. The Korean rugby team, led by head coach Lee Myung-geun, won the silver medal at the Asian Games for the first time in 17 years since the 2006 Doha Games.

LG Electronics has been sponsoring the Korean Rugby Union since 2021, and continues to support sports and athletes that are less popular but have great potential and need active support. “Thanks to LG Electronics’ full support and encouragement as the main partner of the Korea Rugby Union for more than two years, the Korean national rugby team was able to reap the rewards of a silver medal after 17 years,” said Choi Yoon, President of the Korea Rugby Union. “We will continue to support the Korean National Rugby Team to achieve good results and 토토사이트 to make rugby a popular sport in Korea,” said Young Rak Kim, Head of Sales, LG Electronics Korea.
