LG signed pitcher Im Chan-kyu (31) to a four-year, $5 billion free agent contract.
The team also finalized a deal with Korean Series Most Valuable Player Oh Ji-hwan (33).
“We signed free agent (FA) Im Chan-kyu for a total of 4 years and 5 billion won, including a down payment of 600 million won, a total of 2 billion won in guaranteed salary, and 2.4 billion won in incentives,” Elgee announced on the 21st.
Im made his professional debut after being selected by the Elgee with the second pick of the first round in the 2011 rookie draft.
Until this year, he wore an Elgee uniform for 11 seasons.
In 298 career games, he has a 65-72 record, eight saves, five shutouts and a 4.62 goals-against average.
In 2023, he went 14-3 with a 3.42 ERA and helped the team win the combined title.
