Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammates and club teams have expressed their condolences following the death of his “newborn son,” 37-year-old Manchester United.

“A daughter was born, but a son passed away,” Ronaldo said on social media on Sept. 19 (ET) of twins with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, 28.

Many people, including Pele, responded to Ronaldo’s post to share their grief.

His club, Manchester United, wrote: “Your pain is our pain.
