The four members of B.A.P, a boy group from the 2010s, are reuniting for a return this August under a new group name.
MA Entertainment, the agency managing the rebranded group, announced on Tuesday that former B.A.P members Bang Yong-guk, Jung Dae-hyun, Yoo Young-jae and Moon Jong-up, are set to return to the music scene with a new name: BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON.
Following the announcement, the agency revealed additional details about the quartet’s comeback through social media, Friday. These details include the group’s first album title, “CURTAIN CALL,” and specific dates for its promotional schedules.
BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON will commence its full-fledged comeback promotions on Monday. On Wednesday, the group will 토토 reveal the tracklist of the new album, followed by a pre-release of the song “FAREWELL” on July 15. The group also announced plans for a fan concert on Aug. 17 and 18 to coincide with the album’s release.
Bang, Jung, Yoo and Moon originally debuted as members of K-pop boy band B.A.P in 2012 with its single “WARRIOR.” The group quickly gained popularity among teenagers with hits like “CRASH,” “ONE SHOT” and “No Mercy.”
However, in 2014, a dispute over its members’ contracts with its original agency, TS Entertainment, led to a hiatus that lasted over a year. B.A.P concluded its activities with the release of its eighth single, “EGO,” in 2017 and disbanded in 2019.
