The second set started with a fightback from OK Savings Bank. With the score tied at 3-3, OK Savings Bank took the lead after an opponent’s service error and Park Won-bin’s open attack, and then Luconi’s open attack gave them a three-point lead.

OK Savings Bank took the first technical time of the second set thanks to back-to-back service errors. OK Savings Bank extended its lead to 10-6 with a service ace by Luconi.

However, Hyundai Capital quickly tied the score at 10-10 through kills by Heo Soo-bong and Leo, as well as an opponent error and a service ace. Hyundai Capital took a 12-10 lead after back-to-back blocking points by Choi Min-ho.

Hyundai Capital then capitalized on back-to-back opponent errors and a high blocking wall to take a 16-12 lead into the second technical time. OK Savings Bank was unable to handle the firepower of Hyundai Capital, which included Jeon Kwang-in. Hyundai Capital took the third set with ease, including a service ace from Leo. OK Savings Bank had completely lost its will. On the day, Hyundai Capital completely disrupted OK Savings Bank’s defense line, with Heo Su-bong tallying 17 points, one block and one service ace, Leo tallying 15 points and one service ace, and Choi Min-ho tallying 11 points and four blocks.

On the other hand, OK Savings suffered its second straight loss in the opening round as the team was held to 11 points and a 32.14% shooting percentage from the field. After the game, OK Savings Bank head coach Ogino said, “I can’t change the way the game ended. Our digs were good as we broke down the opponent’s receiving line with our serve, but it’s a shame that we couldn’t play the role of the third attacker in offensive situations.
