‘Iron Pillar’ Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) says he can do better despite winning his Bundesliga debut.
Munich ran out 4-0 winners in their opening Bundesliga match of the 2023-2024 season against Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion in Bremen, Germany, on Monday (Sept. 19).
Kim, who joined the Bavarians from Napoli in the summer transfer window, started and played the entire 68 minutes until the 23rd minute of the second half, helping the Bavarians to a clean sheet.
Kim took to Instagram after the game to express his gratitude. “Thank you to those who supported me in Korea in the early morning hours,” he said, adding, “I can do better. Please support me a lot.”
Kim played a pass to teammate Jamal Musiala in the 18th minute that led to Musiala’s goal. In the 35th minute, he delivered an exquisite header pass to a teammate that deceived the opponent. In the 45th minute, he headed in a corner kick, but it didn’t lead to a goal.
In the second minute of the second half, I was disappointed. Kim won the ball with an exquisite trapping move, but his subsequent pass was inaccurate. The opponent who stole Kim Min-jae’s pass even took a shot. Fortunately, it didn’t lead to a goal.
In the 17th minute of the second half, Kim Min-jae’s ball inside the penalty box went to an opponent. The opponent’s shot narrowly missed the target.
The fact that Kim said on social media after the game that he can do better means that he will not make the same mistake.
Kim will next face Augsburg in the second round of the Bundesliga on April 28. 토토
