Benjamin pitching
Wes Benjamin (30), a foreign starting pitcher for baseball’s KT WIZ who was sidelined
with a sore left arm at the end of the regular season, threw without problems in the
team’s self-evaluation game and revealed his playoff (PO) prospects.
Benjamin pitched three scoreless innings against the Blue and White at KT Wiz Park in
Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, on April 26. He threw 49 pitches.
His fastball topped out at 147 kilometers per hour, and his average velocity was 145
kilometers per hour. Not much difference from the regular season.
He also checked out a variety of pitches, including a slider, cut fastball, changeup, and curve.
Benjamin went 15-6 with a 3.54 ERA this year, but he struggled with his form at the end of the season.
In particular, he complained of extreme fatigue after finishing a game against the KIA
Tigers on March 22, and was forced to leave a game against the Samsung Lions on
March 6 after throwing just 20 pitches due to left arm pain.
Benjamin then spent about 20 days resting and recovering to prepare for the postseason. 슬롯사이트
