Kim Yu-jin, who defeated Skyla Park and advanced to the semifinals, will face the winner of the quarterfinals between Pacheco Maria Clara (Brazil) and Luo Zongxi (China) at 11:11 PM on the 8th (Korean time) for a ticket to the finals.

Korea previously secured Olympic tickets in the men’s 58kg and 80kg classes, and the women’s over-67kg class through the WT rankings. Park Tae-jun (Kyunghee University, 5th), Seo Geon-woo (Korea National Sport University), and Lee Da-bin (Seoul Metropolitan Government, 4th), who were ranked in the top 5, were selected.

The Korea Taekwondo Association began securing an Olympic ticket in the women’s 57kg class in January of this year, and selected Kim Yu-jin as a player for the Asian Continental Qualifiers through its own qualifiers in February. Kim Yu-jin won the ticket to Paris, which is given to the top two players in each weight class, by winning the semifinals of the Asian Continental Qualifiers held in Taiyuan, China in March.
