Carlo Ancelotti to 4 Years and 9 Months for Tax Evasion

Spanish Prosecutors Sentence Carlo Ancelotti to 4 Years and 9 Months for ‘Tax Evasion’

From 2014 to 2015, 1 million euros in image rights income was ‘unreported’.

Carlo Ancelotti (64, Italy), the ‘master’ manager of ‘Spanish giant’ Real Madrid, was sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison by Spanish prosecutors on charges of tax evasion.

Major foreign media outlets such as AP and Reuters reported on the 6th (Korean time) that “Spanish prosecutors are accused of evading taxes on 1 million euros (approximately 1.45 billion won) in image rights income earned while serving as Real Madrid head coach from 2014 to 2015.”

The report said, “Director Ancelotti was sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison.” 안전한 카지노사이트

Spanish prosecutors said in a statement, “We have applied tax evasion charges to two accounts held by Coach Ancelotti,” adding,

“Director Ancelotti reported only the income he received from Real Madrid in 2014 and 2015 and omitted the income from image rights.

“He was defrauded of 1 million euros.”

He then criticized, “Director Ancelotti used the method of transferring image rights to a ‘ghost company’ outside Spain to hide additional income.”

Coach Ancelotti is a world-class leader who has won 11 trophies while serving at Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015 and from 2021 to the present.

At AC Milan (Italy), he led the team to win the UEFA Champions League twice,

Serie A once, and the Club World Cup once, and at Chelsea (England),

he led the Premier League (EPL) and the English Football Association in the 2009-2010 season. Won the (FA) Cup.

In particular, he is the only coach who not only won the UCL four times,

but also became a champion in all four major European leagues,

including England (Chelsea), Spain (Real Madrid), Germany (Bayern Munich), and France (Paris Saint-Germain).

Coach Ancelotti was recently rumored to be moving to the position of head coach of the Brazilian national team,

but on December 30 last year, he renewed his contract with Real Madrid until 2026.

Although Spanish prosecutors requested a prison sentence of 4 years and 9 months,

local media reports that it is unlikely that Ancelotti will be sent to prison.

None of the famous soccer figures accused of tax evasion in Spain actually went to jail.

In Spain, judges can sentence first-time offenders to probation for up to two years.

Previously, coach Jose Mourinho received a one-year suspended sentence on charges of tax evasion in 2019,

and Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nasr) was found guilty on the same charge,

but was sentenced to a fine of 19 million euros and two years of probation.

Additionally, Lionel Messi and his father were also found guilty of tax evasion for 4.1 million euros in image rights income, but only paid a large fine.
