Macau VIP game remains weak

Macau casinos continue to suffer poor VIP gross gaming revenue (GGR), Nomura says.

The Japanese brokerage on Monday estimated VIP revenue would fall by 11% to 13% year-on-year for the month of June. 파워볼게임

The good news is that Nomura’s checks indicate that the bulk producer numbers “remain strong.” Analysts Louise Cheng and Harry C. Curtis said the GGR in the bulk production market would increase by 34% to 38% throughout the month from a year ago.

The June GGR could be between 28.5 billion MOPs ($3.6 billion) and 29.5 billion MOPs, up 1% to 4% year-on-year, the two analysts estimated.

U.S.-based brokerage Stern Age also said on Monday its June GGR outlook for Macau casinos was expected to fall 2% and grow 3% from a year ago, “leaning towards the lower end of the range.”
